Prom is considered to be a big milestone in your life. You are going to remember it for the rest of your life. It is quite evident that you are clearly in love with your dress and want to save it for as long as possible. Or you may be an intelligent spender and want to save your dress for future re-use, I am going to help you how to take care of your prom dress. This article would help you to avoid wrinkles, stains and how to store them easily.
Wrinkles
After buying your dress, keep it in enough space where it can breathe. You must take into account that the surrounding things must not touch your dress so that it does not wrinkle. Prom dress looks spectacular when it is wrinkle free. If somehow you got some wrinkle on your prom dress, you must get it pressed before your prom day. Most of the brands of prom dresses offer steaming your dress before the date of your event. If your prom dress brand is not offering free streaming, you can always go to your local dry cleaner and get it pressed. As already stated, your prom dress must be wrinkle free to look gorgeous.
Keeping
When you have used the prom dress and it is time to wrap the dress up and store it, the first thing you must do it is to dry clean it. Dry cleaning your dress before storing it would make it stain free. There might be some stains even if you think there is none. Store your dress in cool place to make it save for long. Avoid storing it into hot or moist places as this may discolor your prom dress.
Spots, stains and Marks
Marks, stains and spots are the worst things that can happen to your prom dress. Treat your dress as soon as possible as the more you delay, the more difficult it would be to erase the stain from your dress. There are different kinds of strains and below I have mentioned its solution;
For makeup stains, dampen it with warm water and then use bleach to erase it. For Grass marks, use alcohol and then bleach to make it work. For grease marks, wash your garment with warm water and place the stain down on paper towels and rub dry with fluid pretreatment shower. After this is finished, wash in warm water.
